Good Health Just Got Easier to Swallow

Tea Tree Oil - "The Smart Oil"

Tea Tree Essential Oil: Melaleuca alternifolia, p.o. leaves; extracted by steam distillation

Tea Tree, the “smart” oil, does not kill bacteria indiscriminately. Unlike antibiotics which kill all bacteria, Tea Tree oil identifies and kills the destructive bacteria while leaving the friendly bacteria we need to stay healthy. Tea Tree also stimulates the immune system.

Properties: Anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, balsamic, cicatrizant, diaphoretic, fungicidal, immuno-stimulant, parasiticide, vulnerary. Non-toxic!

Uses for E.O.B.B.D Certified Tea Tree Essential Oil:
Note: Only use Ancient Legacy E.O.B.B.D certified oils with the suggested uses below. Oils that are not certified come from an unknown origin, are diluted, and may contain toxins. Never ingest or apply oil to your skin directly (neat) that is not E.O.B.B.D. certified.

Sore Throat or Cough – “Tea Tree Lick” Just put a drop of the oil on your little finger (the finger which is least likely to be rubbed in your eyes) and suck it off. Do this every 5 minutes until your sore throat is gone. Works best when done at the first sign of sore throat.

Boosting the Immune System - Most chronic illnesses stem from a weakened immune system which is often related to problems with the digestive system. Do a “Tea Tree lick” to disinfect the digestive system. Use this for all chronic conditions such as respiratory, urinary, digestive, hormonal, skin, joints, and so on.

Warts – Apply one drop of Tea Tree to a plaster (it's less messy that way than if you were to apply it to the wart directly), and then "stick it" to the wart! We did this twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. One week later, and goodbye wart!!

Toe and Nail Fungus – Apply neat to affected area

Washing Dishes –Add a few drops to dishwater

Mosquito/Insect bites – Apply directly to bite to disinfect and help prevent West Nile.

Ticks – Put a drop on the tick and it will let go. The oil will also disinfect the area.

Disinfectant Hand Soap – To non-antibacterial liquid hand soap (unscented is best) add 15 to 20 drops of Tea Tree oil. Shake to mix well.

Disinfectant Spray – add 15 to 20 drops of Tea Tree oil to a 4 oz spray bottle. Spray bathroom fixtures, toilet, door knobs, toys, counter tops, spray in shoes…ext.

Laundry – Add 20 – 24 drops to washing machine to disinfect laundry. This is especially great to use when washing clothing or bedding from someone who has been sick. (I have a front loader which uses less water, so I use 10-15 drop of oil)

Brushing Teeth – Apply a drop of Tea Tree oil to toothbrush with toothpaste. After brushing teeth add a drop to bristles on the toothbrush to keep germs from growing on it.

Mouthwash – Add one drop of Peppermint essential oil and 1 drop of Tea Tree oil to distilled water. Shake well and use as you would regular mouthwash.

Pimples – At first sight of blemish, apply Tea Tree oil neat from the bottle. Apply frequently until blemish is gone.

Athlete’s foot – Apply Tea Tree oil neat from the bottle to affected area or add 10 to 12 drops to foot bath

Cold Sores and Canker Sores – Apply one drop neat to the affected area. Works best if you apply it as soon as you feel one coming on and continue to apply it until it is gone.

Scrapes and Cuts - Add 3 to 5 drops of Tea Tree oil to 16 oz of water to cleanse the cut. Add 20 drops of Tea Tree oil and 5 drops of Lavender oil to a 4 oz spray bottle of distilled water and use as an antiseptic spray.

Keeping you healthy – Apart from boosting your immune system when ingested, it is also beneficial to inhale the vapors of the Tea Tree oil to kill airborne germs. This can be done by simply opening the bottle and sniffing it or by putting a drop on a tissue, but the best way is to wear an oil necklace. Tea Tree vapors will slowly seep through the cork in the bottle. If someone around you sneezes/coughs you can open the bottle for an extra dose. Oil necklaces are also great because you will always have the oil handy wherever you go to disinfect cuts, or to reapply to warts, canker sores, pimples, and so on. You can also mix a drop or two with a carrier oil and rub it on the bottom of your feet to be absorbed so that it can kill bacteria in your system.

Note: Deep Cleanser essential oil is very good to use in the disinfectant spray, in soaps, laundry, and so on. It is a powerful antiseptic. Deep Cleanser is a wonderful mixture of Sage, Ocean Pine, Lemongrass, Juniper Berry, Cypress, Frankincense and other pure essential oils. It smells lovely.
